WETWALL, THE MODERN ALTERNATIVE TO TILES

FAQ

DO YOU GET DIFFERENT QUALITY PVC WETWALL?

Yes,Panels usually come in widths of narrow panels 20cm or 25cm or wide panels 1m, narrow panels are usually 5mm or 8mm thick, this is were people get confused, thinking thickness is better, you can buy standard 5mm or 8mm thick but the quality isn't that great in our opinion and can be easily damaged, that's why we manufacture our own branded 8mm Super Strong panels which are far more superior to standard panels. We currently are the only company in the UK to do this. Last thing you want is newly installed panels with dents and holes in them within a month!

CAN PANELS GO OVER EXISTING TILES?

Yes, our panels can be installed over existing tiled walls by using Silicone adhesive to fit them. Make sure there are no loose tiles and that there is enough clearance  to cope with the extra thickness.

CAN PANELS BE USED IN THE KITCHEN?

Yes. You can fit our wall panels in Kitchens, but take care when installing the panels near sources of direct heat such as open hobs . In this area you should use a protective panel which you can put on top,

WILL PANELS HELP WITH CONDENSATION?

Yes,  panels are warm to the touch so helping to reduce the amount, however the only proper way to eliminate condensation is proper ventilation. You can either use an extractor fan. If some condensation does still occur, at least there is no grouting where mould growth can penetrate and cause unpleasant discoloration.

HOW DO YOU FIT  PANELS TO THE WALL?

Using Silicone Sealant on the back of the panels to fix to the surface, they join together by tongue and groove  that provides a seamless finish with tight, almost invisible joins.(apply a small amoumt of sealant in joint when fitting in wet areas) You can also use the lip on groove side to nail the panels to the wall.

CAN WET WALL PANELS BE USED IN THE SHOWER?

Yes. Our panels are ideal for use in any wet area giving you a modern alternative to tiles.
